Description

The Sources Sought Notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 206.302-1(d). Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River MD, intends to issue a sole source Delivery Order off Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-21-G-0006 to Boeing Company, Saint Louis, MO in support of BRU 61 New USN Production. The Government contemplates a five year ordering period for supply and services related to the production, engineering support, integration and sustainment of the BRU-61.� The proposed action is for supplies and services for which the Government Intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, ""only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements."" Boeing is the original designer, developer and manufacturer of the BRU-61 and owns the proprietary data that is required to perform the effort and therefore is the only contractor with the requisite knowledge, experience and technical data that can meet the Government's requirements on a timely basis and in a cost effective manner.� THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. Responsible and interested parties, however, may identify their interest by responding to the requirement with a capability statement. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this notice. Unless stated herein, no additional information may be available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete these efforts based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No phone inquiries will be entertained.
