Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, bids, or quotations. A solicitation does not exist for this requirement at this time; therefore, do not request a copy of solicitation. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified SMALL BUSINESS sources to perform a potential requirement. Responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. It is incumbent upon the interested party to review www.sam.gov for updates on this notice. The National Park Service (NPS) in the Pacific West Region (PWR) Golden Gate National Recreation Major Acquisition Buying Office is conducting market research to understand the numbers and types of contractors who have the capability and are interested in providing the following services: Salmon habitat restoration actions in Redwood Creek at Muir Woods National Monument. The work requires earthwork by heavy equipment working in the channel to remove rock slope protection (RSP) from banks, grade some banks, install rock in tie-backs, install Large Woody Debris structures, and remove an asphalt trail. Work follows engineered drawings. Three water diversion systems must be established while meeting downstream flow and water quality requirements. The work entails slow and restricted access and many environmental protections for highly sensitive resources (endangered species, understory vegetation, redwood trees). The U.S. Department of Interior, National Park Service is contemplating the issuance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Salmon habitat restoration. Interested parties should submit their response in either .doc or .pdf compatible format via email to daniel_rosales@nps.gov. Please submit capability statement no later than the time specified in the notice. Submission should not be more than ten (10) pages plus cover sheet. The NPS GOGA NRA does not intend to respond to questions concerning this requirement at this time. PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR CAPABILITY STATEMENT
