- DESCRIPTION This Notice of Intent is provided to advise that the Government intents to solicit and negotiate a Sole Source, Firm Fixed-Price Purchase Order with Tryco Incorporated, a Small Business (SB). The procurement is for the Bioventus Brand Name will be the only upgrade and software that will work because this is for an existing piece of equipment on station. Under Statutory Authority 40 U.S.C. 501 and 41 U.S.C. 251 the VA Great Lake Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to procurement a new Firm Fixed Price Brand Name Sole Source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency requirements . This contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate and is authorized under statute 38 U.S.C. 8127(b), Use of Noncompetitive Procedures for Certain Small Contracts. - For purposes of meeting the goals under subsection (a), and in accordance with this section, in entering into a contract with a small business concern owned and controlled by veterans for an amount less than the simplified acquisition threshold (as defined in section 4 of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act (41 U.S.C. 403)), a contracting officer of the Department may use procedures other than competitive procedures. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received will only be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in lieu of sole source contract described in this notice, and such determination shall be made at the sole discretion of the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. If no responses are received, the government will proceed with the Sole Source acquisition. The Government will not pay for information submitted any quotation/response should be emailed to Jennifer Mead at Jennifer.Mead@va.gov by 10:00 a.m. Local Time November 3, 2022.
