- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order subject to availabilty of funds to ADSO Enterprises �to provide strategic planning support services to the National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory (NPPTL), including its Personal Protective Technologies and Public Safety Programs, and other activities in furtherance of its mission. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) undertakes initiatives to strategically position its programs and activities to better protect the health and safety of American workers. On prior CDC/NIOSH/NPPTL contract efforts, personnel of ADSO Enterprises, Inc. has provided timely and high quality support to all of the strategic activities. ADSO personnel has also been directly involved in supporting NIOSH in fulfilling its leadership role in multi-agency analyses of the preparedness of the United States before and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. A focus has been on ensuring the appropriate level of respiratory protection for healthcare workers so that they will be able to continue to perform their needed duties during the pandemic. This continuing activity receives the highest levels of attention across the government have been involved from the beginning in NIOSH efforts to develop and deploy strategies to educate and assist the general public's response to such infectious disease outbreaks/pandemics. Under the prior CDC/NIOSH/NPPTL contracts, ADSO personnel has been integral in developing and implementing the strategy for the formation and workings of the PPT Conformity Assessment Working Group, a 25 member group representing industry, labor, government, and academia and has assisted this group in its development of draft risk-based processes for the Conformity Assessment of respiratory and non-respiratory personal protective technologies that NIOSH can use to improve worker safety. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested parties may identify their interest and submit documentation of their capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within seven (7) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Any response should be emailed to the appropriate point of contact at �EEH3@cdc.gov by 11:00 AM on November 4, 2022.
