Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION / SOURCES SOUGHT INQUIRY The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19, Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center (RMAC) is seeking information and sources that can provide customized calibrators and quality control materials at specific concentrations based on Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center (RMR VAMC) guidelines. These calibrators and quality control materials are required to perform toxicology testing for patient specimens. The price shall include costs covering: Calibrators with specific concentrations Quality controls of different levels at specific concentrations Shipping, packaging, and handling Prompt delivery according to the schedule The contractor shall provide custom calibrators that are urine based and contain specified analytes at precise concentrations defined below. The contractor shall provide three levels of custom quality control materials at precise concentrations defined below. All calibrators and quality control materials must be suitable for Liquid Chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) testing. If the calibrators and quality controls do not produce results within 15% of the guidelines defined below and/or produce results with failures, they will be replaced at no additional cost to the ordering facility. The standards of the quality control materials shall be high enough to satisfy proficiency testing standards of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), CLSI, CLIA, FDA, Joint Commission, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Quality control documents shall be furnished with materials supplied to VA. Contractor shall provide notification of backordered items as soon as possible by email or a phone call to the ordering facility and provide a list of possible replacements for the backordered supplies to ensure there is no delay in patient testing. Special Requirements: The contractor shall provide seven calibrator levels that are urine based and contain the twelve analytes that are run by RMRVAMC Toxicology laboratory in specific concentrations defined in the table below.
