This RFI is issued for the purpose of conducting capabilities and market research. Accordingly, this RFI constitutes neither a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor a guarantee that one will be issued by the Government in the future; furthermore, it does not commit the Government to contract for any services described herein. Do not submit a proposal. The Department of Veterans Affairs is not at this time, seeking proposals or quotes and therefore will not accept, review, or evaluate unsolicited proposals or quotes received in response hereto. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this request. The Government does not reimburse respondents for costs associated with submission of the information being requested or reimburse expenses incurred for responses to this RFI. The information provided may be used by VA in developing an acquisition strategy and Product Description (PD). Any information submitted by respondents to this RFI is strictly voluntary; however, any information received shall become the property of the Government and will not be returned to the respondent. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary, restricted or sensitive information contained in their response. Background The Cath Lab at the BT VAMC has recently gone under construction. There is a need within Cath Lab operations to monitor patient vitals. The existing patient monitoring equipment is old and will need to be replaced once construction concludes. This SOW describes the patient monitoring equipment requests required to support the BT Cath Lab. Objectives The Cath Lab staff needs a patient monitoring system that includes the support of streamlined clinical workflow, continuous patient records, and improved alarm management. The goal of this acquisition is to provide clinicians with a modern patient monitoring system that provides all the components listed above. Scope The scope of this effort is to procure and configure an operable patient monitor system that integrates into our existing infrastructure at the BT VAMC. The Cath Lab construction is a turnkey project. The contractor will be required to: Deliver an operable patient monitor system. Provide project management for the installation and configuration of the patient monitoring system. Central Monitoring System Philips Patient Information Center (PIC iX) is the heart of our patient monitoring system that facilitates visibility into patient condition, assisting caregivers with the early identification of potential for deterioration while enhancing clinical workflow.
