- Summary: Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 5, The VA Washington, D.C. 20422 is issuing this request for information/sources sought notice in order to identify vendors that are interested in and capable of performing Wheelchair Transport for the VA Washington DC Health Care system which includes the VAMC and each of the current seven (7) CBOC s. Description of Work: The Contractor shall be required to pick-up patients from the DC VAMC and other points of origin of travel and transport him/her to DC VAMC clinic appointments and return them to their residence or to other places/locations in a timely manner. VA Medical Center, 50 Irving Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. and the services will be expected to start as soon as December 1st, 2022. The intended contracting method will be a 3-year multiple-award BPA to ensure that small & veteran-owned businesses are able to compete for some or all of the work covered in the resulting BPA. Interested & Capable Responses: NCO 5 is seeking responses from entities that are interested in this procurement and consider themselves to have the resources, capabilities and qualifications necessary to perform Wheelchair Van Transport Services at the Washington, DC Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (DC VAMC) and CBOCS. Please respond to this RFI/Sources Sought 36C24523Q0052 with your: 1. Business name (including Unique Entity ID (SAM.gov), business type, socio-economic status (e.g., Veteran-Owned, Woman-Owned, Disadvantaged Small Business, 8(a), etc.), and person of contact (including telephone number & email address). 2. Capability statement and summary of previous experience providing these types of services for the Veterans Health Administration or other similar facilities & equipment. 3. GSA contract number to include NAICS (if applicable). 4. Brief Summary of categories of transportation that your company can/cannot provide. Responses must be submitted by 11:59 PM (ET) October 10, 2022. Responses to the information requested above must be submitted via email to, crystal.brown5@va.gov . This request for information/sources sought notice is for planning purposes ONLY and does not constitute a solicitation, responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
