- Description
- The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI)/source sought notice is strictly for market research and to obtain technical information about approaches and commercially available software products that can be used to manage the National Archives and Records Administration's (NARAs) Internal Collaboration Network (ICN) site. NARAs staff are distributed across more than 40 separate duty stations around the country, necessitating a robust internal collaboration and communication solution. The Office of the Chief of Staff, Communications and Marketing Branch (SC), is responsible for establishing and maintaining this system, in order to encourage and enhance NARA staff engagement, team development, and networking capabilities. NARA requires a software solution that provides effective integration with the Google office and email suite to facilitate the centralization of communication and notification functions. The current ICN solution exists as a standalone Jive web application with limited integration with the NARA Google Workspace suite. Users are afforded the ability to subscribe to various topics or threads and receive notifications by email when new content is added to them, however, in order for the SC team to notify the entire NARA audience of any new topics, threads, or announcements, they have to generate email notifications separate from the ICN system. Users are also unable to respond to any email notifications or interact with their various ICN teams or groups directly from the NARA email suite. The proposed ICN solution should integrate seamlessly with NARAs primary office suite, the Google workspace environment. The agency also has the Microsoft Office 365 Government G3/G5 plan. Therefore vendors are encouraged to offer solutions which are platform agnostic or interdependent. The ICN solution objectives are to: Ensure that NARA staff can communicate and collaborate in an environment that is integrated with their daily office toolkit. Ensure that the ICN solution integrates with the Google and/or Microsoft Office suites. Ensure that the ICN solution enables Communications staff the ability to notify NARA users of new content from a single source location. See attached RFI for complete list of functional and technical requirements for the ICN solution.
