- Description
- The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is seeking eligible 8(a) small business offerors having the ability for providing National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) program services to assist CMS in promoting program integrity (PI) and compliance through guidance, edits, and other methodologies that reduce improper payments in the Medicare and Medicaid program. �The contract shall focus on the maintenance and further expansion all of the NCCI correct coding edits and other methodologies to ensure that consistent coding and adjudication of Medicare and Medicaid claims lead to consistent payments to providers in accordance with the payment policies of those programs; and enabling CMS and states to meet the Medicaid program requirements as outlined in section 6507 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).� Additionally, the contract will provide for the maintenance of associated manuals and references, maintenance of edit files, and the continuation of the ongoing activities necessary to the successful administration of the NCCI program. CMS anticipates award of a firm fixed price type contract for a one-year Base Period, three, one-year Option Periods, one, ten-month Option Period, and a 90-day Option Transition Period that can be exercised at the unilateral discretion of the Government. This acquisition is being offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) participants under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541990. The solicitation will be available on or about October 14, 2022, and it will be distributed solely through the System for Awards Management (SAM) website at http://www.sam.gov.� Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available.� The site provides downloading instructions.� All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site.� Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.� The estimated closing date of 75FCMC22R0035 will be on or about November 14, 2022.� All responsible 8(a) sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by this agency.� No telephone requests or written requests for the solicitation will be accepted.
