Description

The Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to the Idaho Falls Police Department for the acquisition of a dual-purpose explosives� detection/patrol law enforcement canine and handler training. This award will be in made in accordance with authority FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Idaho Falls Police Department is the only organization capable of providing the required supply and service as outlined in Sole Source Justification and the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for quotations and a written solicitation will not be issued. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. The applicable North American Industrial Classification System Code (NAICS) code for this requirement is 561612, Security Guards and Patrol Services, and the size standard is $25.5 Mil.
