- This is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source announcement only. This is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. Any responses to this announcement will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. Purpose and Objectives: VISN 10, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10, is issuing a notice of intent to pursue a non-competitive procurement with CareFusion, LLC, for Alaris System Software Maintenance Services for the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. CareFusion, LLC has been determined as the only responsible source, as determined in accordance with procedures prescribed in FAR 13.106 and the anticipated contract action is hereby publicized in accordance with FAR 5.101 and 5.203. The purpose of this notification is to communicate the Governments intent to solicit and award a non-competitive procurement for Alaris System Software Maintenance Services for the Indianapolis VA Medical Center above. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR TECHNICAL OR COST PROPOSALS. The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center requires a base plus four years, Firm Fixed Price, Purchase Order with CareFusion, LLC to provide the required services described herein. NAICS code is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance Size Standard is $22 Million. Product Service Code is J065 Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment Medical, Dental, and Veterinary Equipment and Supplies This non-competitive award is implemented by FAR 13.103-1(b), as it has been deemed that only one source is available to meet this specific requirement. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under FAR Parts 12, 13, and 19. The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center has a requirement to establish a purchase order for a period of base plus four years. Market research has revealed this contractor is the overall best value to the Government. Therefore, the Government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. All information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
