- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, �Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items,� as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is a for quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2019-03. Cape Hatteras National Seashore is seeking the supply of and installation of heavy duty mechanically assisted mobile storage shelving system at the Fort Raleigh Museum Resource Center. All interested companies shall provide a quotation for the following: Heavy duty mechanically assisted mobile storage shelving system. �Cape Hatteras National Seashore (CAHA) Any reference to a brand name within these specifications or attachments should be considered brand name or equal. High Density Mechanically Assisted Shelving Specifications The National Park Service (NPS) Outer Banks Group (OBG) has a requirement for purchase and installation of a high density mechanically assisted mobile storage shelving systems in two rooms at the Fort Raleigh Museum Resource Center at 1419 Pear Pad Road, Manteo NC 27954. 35.936947881599984, -75.71507772320363 Specifications: The contractor must meet the requirements and deliverables to include a turnkey installation that includes: 1. Provide new shelving systems in room 1 and room 2 as described below with the following characteristics: a. Dual flange b. B rail c. High pressure laminate end panels d. Line shaft with mechanical assists Drive Type e. Stationary Units that Sit on the floor f. Floor Covering made of rubber mat and edging 2. Provide Operation and maintenance manual Room 1 Shelving Requirements: - 15 total 42""W x 12""D x 87""H Mobile Shelving Units - 14 total 42""W x 18""D x 87""H Mobile Shelving Units - 10 total 42""W x 18""D x 87""H Static Shelving Units - Each shelving unit should be 4 port shelving units and have 5 openings - The units should fit in a 15'W x 17'L space in the center of the room and allow for a 3'10"" walking path between the newly installed mobile storage cabinets and static storage on the wall. This will allow for roughly a 46"" Aisle for the sliding mobile shelving. - Total installed height of all shelving units may not exceed 91""H Room 2 Shelving Requirements: - 2 total - 48""W x 30""D x 87""H Static Shelving Units With 5 openings - 1 total - 48""W x 24""D x 87""H Static Shelving Unit With 3 openings - 1 total - 48""W x 24""D x 87""H Static Shelving Unit With 5 openings - 8 total - 48""W x 24""D x 87""H Mobile Shelving Units With 5 openings - 4 total - 48""W x 30""D x 87""H Mobile Shelving Units With 5 openings - The units should fit in a 9'2""W x 22'3""L space in the center of the room and allow for a 2'2"" walking path between then newly installed mobile storage cabinets and existing storage on the wall. This will allow for roughly a 48"" Aisle for the sliding mobile shelving. - Total installed height of all shelving units may not exceed 91""H Notes: - Installation must be accomplished while NPS representatives are present in the building. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM. Award shall be made to the quoter whose quotation the best value to the government, considering technical capability, past performance, and price. The government will evaluate information based on the following evaluation criteria: meeting or exceeding the requirement, past performance, technical capability, and price. All quoters shall submit the following: Price quote and specifications All quotations, shall be emailed to William_leady@nps.gov This is an open-market combined synopsis/solicitation for products as defined herein. The government intends to award a purchase order as a result of this combined synopsis/solicitation that will include the terms and conditions set forth herein. To facilitate the award process, all quotes must include a statement regarding the terms and conditions herein as follows: ""The terms and conditions in the solicitation are acceptable to be included in the award document without modification, deletion, or addition."" OR ""The terms and conditions in the solicitation are acceptable to be included in the award document with the exception, deletion, or addition of the following:"" Quoter shall list exception(s) and rationale for the exception(s). Quoter shall provide lump sum pricing for base and each option (2). In addition, provide a total for base and options. Submission shall be received not later than October 21 at 5:00 pm E.D.T. All submissions shall be emailed to William_leady@nps.gov. Late submissions shall be treated in accordance with the solicitation provision at FAR 52.212-1(f).
