- THIS IS A SYNOPSIS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR PART 12.6 and FAR PART 13, SIMIPLIFIED ACQUISITIONS PROCEDURES.� THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT.� This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.� Notice Type:������������������������������������� Intent to Sole Source Intended Awardee:�������������������������� University of Virginia Darden School ����������������������������������������������������������� 100 Darden BLVD ����������������������������������������������������������� Charlottesville, VA 22903 Title:�������������������������������������������������� Executive Leadership Solicitation#:������������������������������������� NIH-OLAO-OD-NOIAOU-2022_23 Notice of Intent: The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Director (OD), All of Us (AoU), intends to negotiate with the University of Virginia Darden School, on a sole source basis on continues training in her education of exceling in the health scientific research for nine [9-months].� NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE: The intended procurement is classified under NAICS code 611110. The basis for restricting competition is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 because only one source is reasonably available to satisfy agency requirements. This requirement is to maintain knowledge and obtain a high-caliber leadership development certification focused on providing senior executives and senior level managers, in both the scientific and administrative fields, with leadership and technical competencies to lead the successful achievement of the National Institutes of Health's scientific research mission. Background: Achievement of scientific goals at the NIH are linked to the leadership ability of the organization's scientists and administrators, who need to excel at scientific endeavors while efficiently operating within the rules and regulations of the federal government in a changing work environment, scientific environment, and socio-political environment This year, Dr. Ramirez started her new role as Chief Data Officer, leading the Office of Data and Analytics for the All of Us Research Program.� In this executive role, Dr. Ramirez requires additional training in leadership and executive decision making around strategy for the program�s bold five-year goals and planning the future of the program�s growth for the decade beyond as charged in her role.� UVA provides one of the world�s top business schools and faculty known for the research as well as leadership in exposing government decision makers to industry leading methods and peers beyond the federal environment necessary for the All of Us Program�s unique strategy and growth opportunities.� This program will directly translate into growth for the organization using real-world solutions including part of the program specifically designed at supporting immediate solutioning and operations.� The UVA Darden experience offers the required training in the time frame available without conflicting with other work and in time horizon necessary to fulfill job requirements not available through other programs that are at capacity or conflict with other required work commitments.� Objective: The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of the Director (OD) All of Us Research Program (AoURP), Director of Data Analytics has a requirement to obtain a high-caliber leadership development certification focused on providing senior executives and senior level managers, in both the scientific and administrative fields, with leadership and technical competencies to lead the successful achievement of the National Institutes of Health's scientific research mission. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract acquisition based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed. Information provided will be used to assess tradeoffs and alternatives available for the potential requirement and may lead to the development of a solicitation. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted.
