Description
STATEMENT OF NEED Fit Bit Sense GENERAL: The inpatient Chronic Pain Rehabilitation Program (CPRP) at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, Florida 33612, has a requirement for Fit Bit Sense smartwatches, brand name or equal for our high impact chronic pain patients in order to better tailor treatment to their complex needs, help them optimize benefit from chronic pain rehabilitation with use of technology, and generalized learned skills to their home environment upon completion of the program. The smartwatches also serve to help providers better collaborate with the patient, individual treatment, and address patient needs. BACKGROUND: Activity and sleep monitoring has been incorporated into CPRP treatment for many years and as technology has advanced, patients have benefitted from the incorporation of personal, waterproof smartwatches, brand name or equal to FitBit that allow for step counting, relaxation/mindful meditation, and sleep monitoring. These are all core components of the CPRP and these watches enhance provider collaboration with patients and pain self-management. The watch is waterproof and has these updated features that help bridge in-person treatment with the generalizability of learned skills at home. SCOPE: The Fit Bit Sense will be issued to each CPRP patient on admission as a part of their treatment and patients will continue to use these independently upon graduation from the CPRP and in their home environment. ESTIMATED QUANTITIES: 153 Fit Bit Sense watches., brand name or equal. SPECIFIC NEEDS/ SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS Fit Bit Sense: Must include watch and band Dimensions: 40.48mmx40.48mmx12.35mm Weight: 1.7 ounces Purpose: Improve activity and sleep monitoring and generalized learned exercises and skills from the CPRP home This is a black, waterproof smartwatch that includes the tracking of health metrics including sleep quantity and quality as well as providing stress management tools. PERFORMANCE MONITORING: Appropriate training will occur for utilizing the Fit Bit Sense. Products will be safely and securely stored when not in use. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, inpatient Chronic Pain Rehabilitation Program, Motivation-3, Building 38, Tampa, FL 33612. DELIVERY SCHEDULE: All items to be delivered and within 30 days of purchase order processing and order placement. WARRANTY OF EQUIPMENT: Contractor must provide manufacturer(s) warranty on all provided supplies.
