- Description
- The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Canyon Country District/Moab Field Office intends to award a single, firm-fixed price contract for Trailhead Access Road Rehabilitation. Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials to perform the following work: Hauling and placing untreated base course; Hauling and placing riprap; and Install drainage pipe under paleontological trail crossing as specified in plans, specification, and SOW. Additive bid items; Improving site drainage; Replacing existing information kiosk in kind; and removing damaged fencing at the north side of the access road entrance. The Contractor shall be responsible for all labor, material, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies needed to complete the work. This project is located at the Poison Spider Trailhead and trailhead access road, on the east side of Utah, adjacent to State Route 279, 4 miles south of Hwy 95 (10 miles travel southwest of Moab, UT). (38�32'0.25""N, 109�36'27.45""W) A site visit will be held on August 29, 2022 at 2:00 pm MT, meet at the project site. Attendance is highly encouraged. Please follow the current CDC's social distancing guidelines during the site visit. RSVP site visit attendance to Stan Johnson sjjohnson@blm.gov. Estimated period of performance is 10/01/2022 thru 02/28/2023. Work can be done during this time; however, the contract period of performance is 90 days from issuance of the notice to proceed. This project will be 100% set aside for small business vendors under the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 237310 � Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction, $39.5M. Davis Bacon Act (DBA) is applicable, and the appropriate DBA Wage Determination(s) will be included in the solicitation. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this construction project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Bid bond is required. Payment and Performance Bond shall be provided by the awardee 10 days after award. To be considered eligible for award, vendors must be registered and have active profiles with completed representations and certifications in the System for Award Management (SAM) database (https://www.sam.gov). There is NO fee to register for this site.
