DESCRIPTION Description: Water Tower Cleaning & Inspection Services VA Medical Center Martinsburg, West Virginia This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested. This solicitation is a request for quotations (RFQ). Order of preference of qualified Small Business providers able to provide all services detailed in statement of work. 1) service-disabled veteran owned business (SDVOSB) 2) veteran owned small business (VOSB) 3) small business (SB) SITE VISIT: 9-8-22 BUILDING 504 (WATER PLANT) Thursday September 8th @ 1300 (1 PM) *Covid Precautions in place (Masks needed) QUESTIONS: Submitted by Mon. 9-12-22 0800 (8 AM) RFQ Close & all Quotes expected by Thursday 9-15-22 @ 1300 (1PM) GENERAL: Scope of work for the elevated water tower, in-ground water reservoir, and clear water tank: The purpose of this contract involves the cleaning, internal and external inspection, and removal of all sludge and debris from one (1) 750,000-gallon elevated potable water tower, one (1) 400,000 gallon in-ground potable water reservoir. The contractor shall completely remove all sludge and debris from tower and reservoir through use of an in-tank vacuum system which does not require drainage of any potable water from tower, or reservoir. Additionally, work includes cleaning of the external surface of the 750,000-gallon elevated potable water tower. Cleaning products and methods should be non-destructive and environmentally friendly. Completion of all work including cleanings, inspection, site cleanup and sludge / debris disposal shall be within 10 days of mobilization and not longer than 60 days after award.
