Description
The Prequalification of Sources notice for the Recycling Collection Center at Ft. Meade, MD will be posted to https://sam.gov/ on or about 13 September 2022. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about 10 October 2022. Sources will be prequalified in accordance with DFARS 236.272. Under these procedures, Offerors will be required to submit information addressing capabilities and other factors identified in the prequalification criteria. The Government will evaluate the prequalification information and determine a list of qualified Offerors to which the Request for Proposal (RFP), including plans and specifications, will be sent. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Baltimore District will solicit offers for an Construct an 8,200 GSF recycling center with 2,856 SY in concrete pads in support�of NSA refuse operations.�The supporting facilities include site preparation, infrastructure improvements, utility services, perimeter security measures, infrastructure for the telecommunication and the physical security system. The site preparation will include standard clearing, grubbing, cut, fill, grading, storm water management systems, surface parking upgrades, and landscaping. The new facility shall include a processing floor, loading dock, storage area, and an administrative area. The administrative area shall be fully conditioned and comprised of two desk stations, a large central break area for staff which will double as meeting space, lockers, a single shower, and single latrine, janitor closet, three utility rooms for communications, mechanical, and electrical and direct access to the processing floor and outside. The facility shall be required to comply with user-defined security requirements, and force protection�measures that will include fences, vehicle barriers, an electronic security system,�card readers for the office portion of the building, and a CCTV camera. The facility shall also meet the requirements of the Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) Standards. In accordance with DFARS 236.204, the magnitude of construction is $4,500,000.
