- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons (Bureau) is an agency of the Department of Justice (DOJ).� It consists of 122 institutions throughout the United States, including Hawaii and Puerto Rico; 6 regional offices, a Central Office (headquarters), 2 staff training centers, 22 Residential Reentry Management Offices, and 6 Community Treatment Services (CTS) field offices.� The Bureau is responsible for the custody and care of approximately 157,000 Federal offenders.� Around 14,000 of those offenders are residing in Residential Reentry Centers (RRCs), on home confinement, or on Federal Location Monitoring (FLM) throughout the United States of America and various territories (i.e., Guam, and Puerto Rico).� The Bureau is committed to providing high-quality, evidenced-based programs and services for all federal offenders residing in the community.� The CTS Contracting Section is responsible for procuring community based mental health, substance use, including medication assisted treatment (MAT), and sex offender treatment, services by utilizing community treatment providers in areas where offenders are located.� There are approximately 4,000 offenders in community placement receiving treatment through CTS.� This announcement is posted as a Sources Sought only for an intended upcoming solicitation that will be posted on the System for Award Management website:� www.SAM.gov.� This Sources Sought is being issued to determine whether or not there are qualified sources able to meet the requirements for an upcoming solicitation.� This upcoming solicitation will be for the delivery of sex offender treatment (SOT) services within five (5), mile distance from Boston City Hall, 1 City Hall Ave, Boston, MA 02109 and accessible to public transportation, for male and female offenders residing at an RRC or on home confinement in the Boston, MA area.� The solicitation is anticipated to be a firm-fixed-price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, with a guaranteed minimum and an estimated maximum number of services needed for SOT Services.� It is anticipated that services will be solicited under a single procurement and will require the successful quoter to provide all services needed.� The Bureau would like input from any interested and qualified treatment providers in Boston, MA as to the feasibility of delivering sex offender treatment services to federal offenders while in community placement in the Boston, MA area.� ����
