Description

In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 8.002(a)(1)(iii), agencies shall satisfy requirements for supplies and services from or through the mandatory government sources. Federal Prison Industries, Inc. (FPI) is mandatory source. The FPI item is comparable to supplies available from the private sector that best meet the Government�s needs in terms of price, quality, and time of delivery. The MICC - Ft Knox intends to award a contract, on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 8.002(a)(1)(iii) to Federal Prison Industries, Inc (FPI).
