Description
Notice of Intent to Sole Source for Repair two (2) feed carts and modification of two (2) corn cob carts. NIH-SS- 6393642 The National Institutes of Health intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order to LIFE SCIENCE PRODUCTS, INC. 124 Speer Road CHESTERTOWN, MD. 21620. In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, the Contractor is the only known responsible source who can provide the subscription service as no other source has been identified who can provide the requirement listed below. The requirement is to Repair two (2) feed carts and modification of two (2) corn cob carts. Life Science Products, Inc. will modify the two existing Stainless Steel Corn Cob Carts in the Building 49 Central Animal Facility. BACKGROUND The current Corn Cob Carts in the Building 49 Central Animal Facility are not constructed to withstand the amount of labor necessary, such as carrying the weight of the bedding and maintaining its structure while being sterilized. This poses a barrier to completing a vital task in Facility Support to ensure its sterilization before entering the animal facility. With the new modifications requested on these two (2) carts, our staff can complete the necessary work to secure cleanliness in the Building 49 Central Animal Facility. SCOPE This section should provide a brief statement of what the agency expects to accomplish under the contract the breadth and limitations of the contract effort. It should not include specific work tasks or a description of deliverable products since this will be included in the Tasks/Requirements section. OBJECTIVES Once modifications have been completed, our staff can resume a more efficient method of sterilizing and transporting the Corn Cob Bedding. 2.0 REQUIREMENTS Life Science Products, Inc. will pick the two carts up from National Institutes of Health Building 49, deliver them to their shop for modifications, and return them to campus upon completion. Schedule, date, and time to be determined. 2.3 SCHEDULE The period of performance shall be set for as soon as possible. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. However, any party that believes it can provide the VirusTotal subscription product as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to perform the requirement. Responses to this notice shall contain sufficient information to establish the interested parties bona-fide capabilities for fulfilling the requirement and include: unit price, list price, shipping and handling costs, the delivery period after contract award, the prompt payment discount terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin), the Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), and the certification of business size. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed award based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. In order to be considered for an award, an offeror must have completed the online electronic Representations and Certifications located at https://www.sam.gov in accordance with FAR 4.1201(a). By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee shall be registered in SAM at https://www.sam.gov/ prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract, basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchasing agreement resulting from this solicitation (Lack of registration in the System for Award Management will make an offeror ineligible for award). All responsible sources may submit an offer that may be considered by the Agency. It is anticipated that an award will be issued approximately five (5) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that another organization has the capability to meet this requirement. Please email responses to ryan.alexander@nih.gov no later than 9:00 a.m. EST on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.
