Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Regional Health Contracting Office-Central, intends to award a firm-fixed sole source contract to Candela Corporation for full maintenance and repair services on the government owned Candela GentleMax Pro Laser and VBeam Laser Perfecta Systems located the Dermatology Clinic at Reynolds Army Community Hospital, Fort Sill, Oklahoma.� This sole source requirement is being awarded under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), where this requirement does not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT) and only Candela Corporation, can fulfill this requirement due to proprietary rights with the equipment to be serviced.� The sole source contract will have a period of performance is 1 Oct 2022 � 30 Sept 2023 plus four option years. The NAICS code 811219, size standard is $22M. This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency for future requirements.� Award will be made on or about 29 August 2022. The solicitation number is W81K00-22-Q-0191, and is generated for the purposes of posting this notice of intent and the final Justification and Approval (J&A) document. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. All responses received, to include capability statements, within 5 days of the posting of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the interim purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
