Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Research Facility, located in Jackson, TN, has a requirement to remove existing Boiler and reinstall new Lochinvar FTX725N Heating Boiler or approved equal.� The work includes but is not limited to: The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment and perform all work in strict accordance with these Statement of Work/Specifications to remove Existing Boiler and reinstall new Lochinvar FTX725N Heating Boiler or approved equal.� The boiler shall be a high efficiency, fully condensing, natural gas fired heating boiler with 725,000 Btu/hr input and 705,000 Btu output. This project is located at USDA-ARS, 605 Airways Blvd. Jackson, TN. USDA ARS SEA intends to issue a Request for Proposals for a firm fixed priced contract, subject to the availability of funds.� The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside.� The NAICS code for this requirement is 238220 with a size standard of $16.5M.� Contractors shall not directly contact the�facility to discuss this requirement.� During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government anticipates issuing an RFP for this requirement on about August 15, 2022.� This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services.
