- Description
- The sole intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain capabilities for set-aside and procurement planning purposes. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition is 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. This is not an invitation for bid, request for proposal, or other solicitation, and in no way obligates the United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) to award a contract. BACKGROUND: The ARS Dale Bumpers National Rice Research Center has a requirement for upgrading an existing ABI 3730 system to an ABI 3730 XL series. This acquisition is NOT for a purchase of a new ABI 3730 XL series. This acquisition is for an UPGRADE service. The requirement includes using the existing ABI 3730 system as the platform to upgrade hardware and software to operate in a capacity of the latest ABI 3730 XL series. To meet research needs, the system must: Perform a wide variety of sequencing and fragment analysis applications including resequencing, microsatellite analysis, AFLP, LOH, SSCP, SNP screening and SNP validation Cartridge based reagents Minimum capacity of 16 sample plates (96-well or 384-well format) Number of Capillaries of 96 Plate Seal: Automatic on-board piercing (septa or polypropylene heat seal), Internal bar code reader, Integrated auto sampler and plate stacker Voltage: 200-220 V or 230-240 V In-capillary detection by dual-side illumination, Backside-thinned CCD for maximum optical sensitivity, Multiple Filter Sets: Z, E, G5, G5-RCT, Any4Dyeset, Any5Dyeset and S (optional) Read length of 400 - 900 bases INSTRUCTION FOR SUBMISSION: Please provide the follow Business information: 1.
