SUBJECT: Sources Sought NAICS: 334220 POCs: TSgt Jeffrey Snyder (jeffrey.snyder.11@us.af.mil) & Mr. Joshua Lambert (joshua.lambert.14@us.af.mil). Please include both POCs in all communication. Responses due by or before: 15 August, 2022 @ 0800 HST DESCRIPTION The 766 Enterprise Sourcing Squadron is conducting a SOURCES SOUGHT to identify XRIT Earth Stations & tactical meteorological satellite down-link systems capable of receiving, processing, and disseminating meteorological imagery from Low and High Rate Information Transmission from Communication and Metrological Satellite 1 (COMS-1), Geo-Kompast-2A (GK-2A), Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite West (GOESWest) as well as other satellites. This notice is intended strictly for market research to determine if diverse brands and vendors can fulfill the requirements set forth in this Sources Sought. Firms are requested to respond to this announcement as directed below.� Please consider providing a response if you are interested in any ensuing opportunity. PURPOSE OF THIS SOURCES SOUGHT The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct market research pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 to identify businesses capable of performing the work as well as the company's business size classification (Native American/Indian Owned Businesses, 8(a) Certified Small Businesses, Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone) Small Businesses, Women Owned Small Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB), and Veteran Owned Small Businesses). Responses to this Sources Sought will be used to make appropriate acquisition decisions which may include: type of set-aside, type of procurement process, any brand-name justifications, and which acquisition procedures are best suited for a resulting procurement.� AT THIS TIME; NO PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED OR ACCEPTED WITH THIS SOURCES SOUGHT. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR QUOTES/PROPOSALS. Respondents will NOT be notified of any results of this Sources Sought.� No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought or any follow-up information requested. Please note that a decision not to submit a response to this Sources Sought will not preclude a vendor from participating in any future solicitation.�� SUMMARY OF REQUIRED SPECS: The system must comply with the following: Must be capable of receiving, processing, and disseminating meteorological imagery from Low and High Rate Information Transmission from Communication and Metrological Satellite 1 (COMS-1), Geo-Kompast-2A (GK-2A), Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite West (GOESWest) as well as other satellites. Must be a down-link system Must be mobile system Total weight including transport cases must not exceed 100 lbs. Must not exceed a total of 3 transport cases Transport case dimensions must be less than 3' x 2' x 2' Must include deployable antenna under 1.5 mm with tripod Must have L-Band feed, KU-band feed, and down-converter with low-power consumption assembly Must include coaxial cables Must have a compact and durable L-Band receiver Must include rugged laptop with software capable of downloading meteorological data from operational geostationary satellites within austere environments Must include single output universal LNB for enhanced reception in weak signal areas Must be a deployable system capable of performing in austere locations Must be able to be operated by a single user RESPONSE INSTRUCTIONS: Please provide business name, business size (in accordance with NAICS 334220), system brand, and part number to the following POCs: TSgt Jeffrey Snyder (jeffrey.snyder.11@us.af.mil) & Mr. Joshua Lambert (joshua.lambert.14@us.af.mil).
