- PORTABLE TRUCK RAMP 1. REQUIREMENTS: One each 20,000 lb capacity portable truck ramp thatcomplies with the following specifications. 2. SPECIFICATIONS: 2.1 The unit will be constructed with a steel frame and steel serrated grating. 2.2 The unit will have a minimum 20,000 lb. capacity. 2.3 The level-off distance will be 8� minimum. 2.4 Th usable width will be 88� minimum. 2.5 The overall width will be 100� maximum. 2.6 The height adjustment will be from 40� or less to 60� or greater 2.7 The overall length of the unit will be no less than 36� and no greater than 40�. 2.8 The curb height will be 7� minimum. 2.9 The curb width will be 3� minimum. 2.10 The lip will be 15� minimum long and 88� minimum wide. 2.11 A hydraulic hand pump will be used to adjust the height. 2.12 The tires will be 18� diameter minimum solid construction. 2.13 A means will be provided to move the unit with a forklift 2.14 Safety chains, brackets, wheel chocks and all other recommended safety features will be provided. 3. WARRANTY: A one year minimum warranty shall be furnished with theprovided equipment. The warranty shall cover all components. The warrantyperiod begins when the LEAD Contracting Officer provides official confirmationthat the equipment has satisfied all operational provisions of the contract. 4. PRESERVATION, PACKAGING AND DELIVERY: The contractor shall utilizestandard commercial methods for preservation and packaging appropriate for theprovided equipment and acceptable to commercial carriers. As a minimum, allareas susceptible to damage from exposure to the elements shall be preserved and/or packed to prevent damage. The contractor shall be responsible for ensuring the equipment is delivered to LEAD in good condition. 5. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE: The provided equipment shall beexamined for design, construction, materials, components, and workmanship todetermine compliance with the contract and this specification. Any deviationfrom these requirements shall be cause for rejection
