- Pursuant to FAR 13.501, the Department of Commerce (DOC)/Enterprise Services intends to negotiate a sole source, firm fixed price contract in the amount of 284,640.00 with General Dynamics Mission Systems, Inc. to Upgrade fourteen (14) 100Mb KG 175D (Taclanes) NSA Cryptographic equipment to 1000Mb KG175Flex (Taclanes) Cryptographic equipment. (Original Equipment Manufacturer � OEM), distributor and owner of the Certified Type 1 Encryptor Product Lines: The TACLANE Product family includes the in-line network (INE) encryptors (KG-235, KG-175, KG-175A, KG-175B, KG-175D, KG-175F, KG-175G, KG-175X, KG-175N and C175N). The Sect�ra product family includes the Sect�ra INE (KG-235), Sect�ra vIPer Phone, TalkSecure vIPer, Sect�ra Wireline Terminal (SWT), Sect�ra Edge and Sectera GSM Phone. The ProtecD@R family includes the KG-204, KG-411; KG-540A; KG-540B. GDMS is the sole source OEM, distributor, and owner of the Software (including VLAN, TTS, PEP and GEM One, GDS software), Repair/Maintenance, Warranty extensions, Training and Ancillaries (rack mounts, power supplies, cables, power adapters, handsets) for all Product Lines listed above. Certified Type 1 Communications Security (COMSEC) / Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) Products have reselling restrictions imposed by the National Security Agency (NSA), therefore GDMS does not currently have Value Added/Authorized Resellers for the Product Lines listed above, however suppliers with a valid Government contract and a need to buy COMSEC/CCI equipment (subject to verification on behalf of NSA) can provide Certified Type 1 COMSEC Product to the Government Agencies. Classified General Support System (GSS) The contractor shall provide all the necessary equipment to complete a fully-functioning, Classified General Support System (GSS) for NTIA. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: FX1G - TACLANE-FLEX Customizable Encryption Platform - 1 Gb/s Fully tactical 2 Gb/s (aggregate) HAIPE INE with key, algorithm, and protocol agility. Capable of accepting additional feature enhancements. Includes (1) RJ-45 10/100/1000 BaseT cable, (2) 1000 Base-SX Multi Mode Pluggable Optics, (LC connector), (1) Standard Power Adapter, (1) Spare CIK with tag, 5-year hardware/ software warranty and General Dynamics 24/7 Help Desk Support. (Encryptor PN: 02-2842264-2) FX1GTR-1 Trade-in for TACLANE-Flex (KG-175F) - 1 Gb/s Fully tactical 2 Gb/s (aggregate) HAIPE INE with key, algorithm, and protocol agility. Capable of accepting additional feature enhancements. Includes (1) RJ-45 10/100/1000 BaseT cable, (2) 1000 Base-SX Multi Mode Pluggable Optics, (LC connector), (1) Standard Power Adapter, (1) Spare CIK with tag, 5-year hardware/ software warranty and General Dynamics 24/7 Help Desk Support. (Encryptor PN: 02-2842264-2) FX-1GSM 1000 Base-LX Single Mode Pluggable Optic (for TACLANE- FLEX only) Single 1 Gb/s, single mode ruggedized fiber optic transceiver for FLEX; LC Connector. Generally, transceivers can be used with 10 km single-mode fiber backbones. (P/N: 21-2842466-2) The intent of this notice is not to request competitive proposals, and any information received from interested parties will only be considered solely for determining whether a competitive procurement should be conducted. However, interested parties may submit a description of their firm's capabilities for satisfying this requirement, which demonstrates they possess the ability to successfully perform this effort.
