- Federal Aviation Administration Aviation Safety Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) Aerospace Medical Research Division/Human Factors Research Division Market Survey Sources Sought Synopsis Request for Interested and Capable Sources for Research Support Services and Research Participant Recruitment Computerized Neurocognitive Tests for Aeromedical Safety Research Study General Information: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)�s Civil Aerospace Medical Institute (CAMI) Aerospace Medical Research Division (AAM-600)/Human Factors Research Division, (AAM-500) is conducting a Sources Sought Market Survey seeking interested and capable parties to support Computerized Neurocognitive Tests for an Aeromedical Safety Research Study.� Specifically, the requirement will be to recruit research participants and provide research support services during the study. �It is anticipated that the study will take approximately 3.5 years to conduct. The effort will require a support services contractor to provide professional research project management and research study participant recruitment, as well as technical and administrative support to CAMI AAM-600 and AAM-500. �The contractor must furnish and make available all personnel, supplies, equipment, materials, data, facilities, and services necessary to fulfill the requirement. �The FAA will provide all required data collection laptop computers and tablets. �The majority of testing will be conducted off-site. �The contractor must furnish and make available all personnel qualified to perform the following tasks: Recruit and coordinate approximately 2,500 pilot and Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) research study participants Coordinate and schedule participant testing sessions Coordinate and manage data collection site logistics / testing sessions Coordinate and manage participant monetary compensation Coordinate and assist with scheduling FAA Principal Investigators and contract support staff travel to and from multiple testing sites Research support staff for: Project Manager for overall research study Recruitment Coordinator(s) to schedule and coordinate participant testing sessions Research Assistants/Test Proctors to assist with testing/data collection Database infrastructure management Data analysis Administrative support As directed by the FAA, the contractor may also be required to interface with FAA Principal Investigators, research study sponsors, and Contracting Officer�s Representatives (COR). See attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for details.� Please note that the requirement detailed here in may change for the formal request for proposal. Response to this Market Survey: The FAA requests interested parties provide a list of published references that details previously supported scientific research, and specify their involvement in each research project (i.e. directed, conducted, supported, or contributed). All responses (one response per company) are to be provided on company letterhead. No type font less than 12-point may be used. Responses must be received no later than 3:00 P.M, Central Daylight Saving Time (CST) on August 26, 2022.
