- Description
- 1. How long does the 8 line run to building 170? In the amended SOW, this requirement has been replaced with four (4) isolation valves. 2. What building do we pull the new power from? Power is being pulled from B-26 (structures Shop). 3. Please provide a spec for the new vault including, wall and bottom thickness, what type of top / access is needed. 3x3 Vault Sub attachment added. 4. On page 6 of the SOW packet, paragraph 1.16, sub paragraphs A & 1, it states the the GC will be furnished mechanical drawings. There are no drawings of any kind in any of the downloaded files for this project. Attached drawings for the Vault and intended path. 5. On page 3 in the SOW packet, paragraph 1.05 sub paragraph D it talks about new potable/domestic water connections & piping. At the site visit it was determined that this pipe should be a 8"" OD pipe. This pipe will tie in to existing piping near the security station at the front entrance and run to appox. midway of B170 where it will tie into the building there. That distance is almost 1/2 mile. This pipe will have to go under parking lots, streets, sidewalks and the ground. Is the VA wanting this to be bored all they, dug up and covered and patched all the way or a combination of both. It would help to have a plan to show the desired route to lay out the piping so that everyone is bidding apples to apples. Attached Drawing. 6.. On page 7, paragraph 1.26 Tests sub paragraph A calls for commissioning. In the price schedule breakdown there is no line item to cover this as this will be a substantial price. Will the VA make a new price schedule or do we put it under General Requirements or Special Construction? New Price Schedule attached. 7. The Contractor Evaluation Form and the Contractor Safety Form that says the are included in the packet but do not appear in any of it, so VA will need to furnish correct forms. Attached Safety Form and Evaluation Form for projects not reported in CPARS. 8. Will compliant NSF pumps be allowed or is it required to be certified? I m looking to provide FloFab pumps, and they are Compliant but not Certified NSF61. Yes, they need to be NSF61 Certified. 9. Would it be possible to get the current serial number and/or data nameplate that is on the existing unit? The current pump is undersized and will be removed by VA shop personnel. 10. I m not seeing any specs or sizes the valves and headers need to be. If there is a plan view drawing available that would be great. Specifically, I m looking for the size in inches, connection type like flanged, and classification class like 150# or 250#. The valves will be standard water gate valves and standard water check valves with flanged connections. Both will be 6 and classification class will be 250#. 11. Can you confirm the voltage the VFD s will be supplied with? It looks to be 3phase, 480v. Since VFD s are not dual rated like motors I ll need to know specifically. Do these VFD s need to be in a panel? If yes, there are several questions I have about that. Or do the VFD s need to be wall mounted and will they be tied into an existing panel for tank level control? If wall mounted what enclosure class needs to be provided? The VFD requirement is being removed from this requirement. This pump will have a start/stop function.
