- Page 2 of 2 THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Portland VA Medical Center intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source to: BIOMERIEUX INC. 515 Colorow DR Salt Lake City UT 84108 The objective of this sole source award is to initiate a new service and maintenance contract for the Portland VAMC Biomerieux Vitek 2 and BacT Alert 3D and Incubator Systems The NAICS Code for this requirement is 811219; the large business size standard is $20.5 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All information received by 5PM PST on July 21, 2022 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Gregory Watson, Contract Specialist at Gregory.watson2@va.gov. The email subject line shall state, Intent to Sole Source Biomerieux Vitek 2 and BacT Alert Service contract . The Government will not pay for information submitted. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
