FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ANNOUNCEMENT:� SPECIAL NOTICE CLASSIFICATION CODE: 66 - Z � Maintenance, Repair, or Alteration of Real Property SUBJECT:� Procurement of Maintenance Support Service for five TA Instruments CONTACT POINTS: BRIAN JAMIESON, Contract Specialist 301-975-8276 ROBERT COWINS, Contracting Officer 301-975-8335 DESCRIPTION: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with TA Instruments -Waters LLC� 159 Lukens Dr.� New Castle, DE� 19720 for Maintenance Support Services for �five TA Instruments. The services will be utilized by the Engineering Laboratory (EL) at NIST, Gaithersburg, MD campus. ***** Sole source determination is based on the need to acquire preventative maintenance services NIST existing TA systems. Service from any third-party vendor would void all warranties and may result is incompatibility issues, increased costs and delays to mission milestones. Therefore, TA Instruments -Waters LLC, has been identified as the only source capable of providing the required services that meets NIST�s minimum requirements. *****The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811219 - Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a small business size standard of 22 million in annual revenue. ****** NOTE: This notice of intent is not a solicitation. A determination by the Government whether to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. *****Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements listed above may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. *****Any questions regarding this notice must be submitted in writing via email to Brian Jamieson at brian.jamieson@nist.gov.� All responses to this notice of intent must be submitted so that they are received no later than August 1, 2022, at 10:00 AM Eastern Time.
