Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The ARS Environmental Microbial and Food Safety Laboratory (EMFSL) in Beltsville, Maryland plans to purchase five miniature line-scan hyperspectral cameras (Headwall Nano Spectrometer, VNIR 400-1000nm) to develop and upgrade next-generation of multimodal imaging drone (small Unmanned Aerial Vehicle: UAV) systems, each equipped with a miniature hyperspectral imaging camera and LIDAR systems. Since new cameras will be installed in confined space on a small UAV platform, each imaging camera with lenses must be small and weigh less than 0.3 kg. EMFSL is also developing a field imaging platform equipped with an identical hyperspectral imaging camera to collect ground-truth data. The upgrade sensing components including the light-weight hyperspectral imaging camera and LIDA must be compatible with the existing imaging system platforms and software interface already developed by EMFSL. Miniature hyperspectral cameras and LIDAR must be capable of the following: VNIR wavelength range: 400-1000 nm Spatial bands >= 640 Spectral bands >= 270 Large aperture f/# = 12 bits High frame rate >= 300 Hz Small size <= 6.5 cm 5 cm 3 cm (without lens) Light weight < 0.30 kg (with lens) Interface with LabVIEW and Python software Able to be controlled by our existing custom software USB port: 1 USB 3.0 16-Channel LiDAR includes LiDAR Tools software package for creating LAS and DEM files as well as fusing hyperspectral and LiDAR data.
