- This Sources Sought Notice�/ Request for Information (RFI) is strictly for market research.� It is for informational and planning purposes and shall NOT be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Office of Policy and International Affairs, has a requirement for architectural and interior design support services, planning and management. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine the interest and capability of potential Small Businesses firms to meet this requirement defined in the scope below. SPECIFICATIONS/ SCOPE Objective The overall objective of this contract is to secure professional architectural and interior design support services for the management of interior renovations, additions, repairs, and alteration projects through the support of two dedicated staff, and ad hoc support as projects warrant the need.� Scope The scope of the work involves and provides preparations of space drawings utilizing computer-aided design software, space planning, integration of completed projects with USPTO integrated workplace management systems, and architecture and interior design services. All work must conform with applicable federal government regulations and policies, as well as other agency supplemental regulations and policies as appropriate. Deliverables (see attached PDF) Period of Performance The period of performance is anticipated to consist of a six-month base year and three twelve-month option years from date of award. Place of Performance The place of performance will align with the location site of where the majority of the work is accomplished.� In this case, that location will be determined by the contractor and work, if and when required, will not be performed at the government site.� If and when needed, devices will be mailed to selected contractors, data will be collected formatted and returned to the address listed below: ����� USPTO Headquarters ����� 600 Dulany Street ����� Alexandria, Virginia 22314 Special Requirements The USPTO will provide Government Furnished Equipment, Information, or Property (GFE/GFI/GFP) on an as need basis to the contractors on the contract when determined by the CO/COR as needed. All GFE/GFI/GFP will be itemized and accounted for during the Period of Performance (POP) of the contract. All issued GFE/GFI/GFP will be maintained in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause 52.245-1, PTO-04.� A detailed list of the GFE/GFI/GFP will be maintained by the COR and all GFE/GFI/GFP can be inspected at any point during the contract POP by USPTO.� Training� The government will provide the contractor with appropriate training as directed by the government and for government-unique systems.� The contractor is responsible for and shall ensure staff are properly trained and hold the appropriate credentials as required for the services being performed.� Security�� Identify any additional security requirements that may be associated with work performed under the contract. All contract personnel who have access to USPTO data or the USPTO computer system will be required to complete a background check by the USPTO.� All contract personnel will be required to meet all regulations and standards included in FAR 52.203-16, 52.203-17, 52.204-23, 52.204-25 as well as other regulations specific to USPTO.� DEADLINE Responses are due no later than 2:00 PM EST July 21, 2022 and are to be submitted by e-mail only to Joy.Pitts@uspto.gov. �(No phone calls please) Note: As this notice is for market research purposes only, the USPTO reserves the right to accept responses after the deadline, but is under no obligation to include such responses in developing our procurement strategy.
