Description

Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) intends to contract with BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services, Inc. (BAE Systems) of Rockville, MD. The Government requires the Contractor to provide Systems Engineering and Integration requirements and interrelated efforts in support of United States TRIDENT II (D5) Strategic Weapons System (SWS) Program D5 Life Extension 2 (LE2) Strategic Systems Programs Alteration (SPALT). Specifically, SSP requires subject matter expert support for the technical planning, requirements management and integration of SSP subsystems including interface with the COLUMBIA Common Missile Compartment (CMC); Data Management and Configuration Management, SWS System Security Engineering, SWS Safety Engineering support and SSP Infrastructure Operations (Model Based Engineering � MBE)/Information Systems (IS) Program Acquisition engineering support services. Only BAE systems possesses the requisite subject matter expertise and demonstrated qualifications and experience performing systems engineering and integration in support of the technical planning, requirements management and integration of SSP subsystems including interface with the COLUMBIA Common Missile Compartment (CMC); Configuration Management, SWS System Security Engineering, SWS Safety Engineering support and SSP Infrastructure Operations (Model Based Engineering � MBE)/Information Systems (IS) Program Acquisition. The period of performance will be from 01 Oct 2022 to 30 September 2024. It will also include provisions that would allow for level of effort increases up to 30%. �Award will be made using other than full and open competition to BAE Systems of Rockville, MD. �No Solicitation package is available. This NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. �While all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses must be received within fifteen days from the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
