- ****SOURCES SOUGHT FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY**** SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT NOTICE: THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District (USACE-SAS) is seeking industry information and feedback with regards to market capabilities of potential contractors that can install O2 Generator Shelters and the Installation/Construction of Bathrooms & Breakroom under one (1) roof. The magnitude of this requirement is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The purpose of this Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) announcement is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications from companies who have the capability to perform this work. Responses received will not be considered as proposals nor will any award be made as a result of this Sources Sought/RFI announcement. Agency: United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Savannah District (SAS) 2. NAICS: 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction 3. Acquistion Method: Sealed Bidding, FAR Part 14 4. Principle Place of Performance: Chatham County, GA and Effingham County, GA 5. Project Summary: O2 Generators Shelters: Installation of a shelter over of the O2 generator systems pads at each of the two Dissolved Oxygen (DO) Injection system sites with lights and electrical receptacles. Shelters are envisioned to be roof only, no walls/sides, so access to the O2 generator systems are maximized. Shelters to have removable sections in the roof for crane access OR make the roof line tall enough so a crane would be able to lift components underneath the roof. The O2 generator systems sit on existing concrete pads. The Upriver DO site O2 generator pad is 67x73. The Downriver DO site O2 generator pad is 37x73. Shelters are to provide shielding from the elements over the O2 generator systems at each of the two DO system sites in order to allow the O2 generator systems to run more efficiently, increase the lifetime of the systems and increase the maintainability of them. Bathrooms and Breakrooms: Installation/construction of a bathroom and breakroom under one roof, at each of the two Dissolved Oxygen (DO) Injection system sites. Due to the proximity of both sites to the Savannah River and associated wetlands, limited real estate, there are no city septic service near either of the sites; an onsite septic system will have to be considered. All waste will be collected in a holding tank and removed on a regular basis. There is no available space for a leach field at either of the sites. Access to the holding tank will have to be considered also. Due to potential fiscal constraints, modular units may be more cost-effective vs build onsite. Both DO sites are in remote locations and do not have facilities to sustain human presence. Presently, personnel are using port-o-johns and portable and washing stations. Potable water will be provided via a well that is to be installed under a different contract action. 6.
