Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 07 located at 1826 Veterans Blvd. Building 29A, Dublin Georgia issues this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry of the Government s intent to execute a Sole Source Delivery Order under FAR Part 8, specifically FAR Part 8.405-6(a)(1)(B), Only One Available Source. This notice satisfies the posting requirements at FAR Part 5.101. The intended Contractor is Medi-Physics Inc, doing business as GE Healthcare located at 251 Locke Drive, Marlborough, MA 01752. The Charlie Norwood VAMC, Imaging department requires delivery of the DATSCAN Radiopharmaceutical, (National Drug Code 17156-0210-01) on an as needed basis to perform brain scan (SPECT) in patients with suspected parkinsonian syndromes (PSs). The award will be for one base year, with four one-year option periods. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 325412. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 6505. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this sector is 1,250 Employees. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made based on unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement and therefore, should show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. However, all interested, responsible, and capable parties are encouraged to identify their interest by submitting a capability statement no later than 3:00 PM Eastern Time (ET) on July 15, 2022, to Lasonja Harvey at lasonja.harvey@va.gov. The interested parties bear full responsibility to ensure complete transmission and timely receipt. The email must contain RESPONSE TO INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE 36C24722Q0761_1 , in the subject line. The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM in order to be eligible for award.
