- Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source for U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) Genoa National Fish Hatchery to Beckman Coulter, Inc. Service Contract for Maintenance. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Joint Administrative Operations, Acquisition & Property Operations intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to only one responsible source: Beckman Coulter, Inc. Life Sciences, 5350 Lakeview Parkway South Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46268. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The object of this sole source award to Beckman Coulter is to provide annual preventative maintenance and support for a Beckman Coulter Mulitisizer 3 Coulter Counter (Particle Analyzer). The awarded service agreement will include an annual preventative maintenance visit and all parts, labor, and travel associated with that visit. Only trained personnel and technical representatives are authorized to calibrate probes and maintain company specific machinery. Additionally, parts are available only through the manufacturer of the machine, Beckman Coulter. Engineering modifications will be included and installed at no additional charge during the preventative maintenance visit. Beckman Coulter factory trained and certified service engineers will perform preventative maintenance and support. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, they may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
