Description
NOTE: This is a Request for Information ONLY.�This is not a solicitation for proposals and there is no solicitation planned at this time. Introduction: The Space Systems Command (SSC) is developing an approach for contracting for Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) activities and model delivery on future contracts.� This planned approach is summarized in the attached briefing charts (see attachment 2). Also, draft contract artifacts which would be included in a request for proposal (RFP) for a program has be created. This RFI requests industry feedback on these plans and contract artifacts.� We welcome specific recommendations on the proposed contracting approach, contract language and deliverables posted with this RFI. � Materials for Industry Review: SSC�s Space Systems Integration Office (SSIO) produced draft contract artifacts (i.e., Statement of Work (SOW), SSC MBSE Style Guide, and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL)/Data Item Descriptions (DID)) as generic examples for Program Offices to apply on future acquisitions that require MBSE activities and delivery of contractor-developed models.�Please review these artifacts and provide feedback on the contracting approach.� ��We welcome specific recommendations on the MBSE Development Plan as well as the planned contracting approach. We request industry�s feedback on the approach and contract artifacts attached for review, as follows: Briefing charts � describing the Contracting for MBSE approach Sample SOW language � describing contractor MBSE activities, including two CDRLs to define contractor deliverables MBSE Development Plan (MDP) DID � defining the format and content of the MDP deliverable System Architecture Model (SAM) DID � defining the format and content of the SAM deliverable Please note the Government is not requesting feedback on the MBSE Style Guide at this time. The review and feedback process for this document is handled with a working group. For those interested in joining the Style Guide Working Group, please indicate this in your feedback with the names and email addresses of those that would like to be part of the working group.
