- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a Sole Source Award to The University of Washington with a period of performance of September 30, 2022 through September 29,2024 under NAICS 611310, �Colleges, Universities, and Professional Schools�. The award will be Firm Fixed Price and will be utilized for the acquisition of a mixture of, analysis, research and development, administrative support staff, and project management expertise service needs. These services will assist in evaluating, making improvements to, and expanding implementation of the KAER model of detection of cognitive impairment in a primary care setting within a large health care system and ensure that future implementations and expansions of the model. University of Washington possesses the essential capability for theoretical analyses, exploratory studies and experiments in any field of science or technology as well as the capability to engineer or develop work calling for the practical application of investigative findings and theories of scientific or technical nature. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C.3304(a)(3)(B) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-3(2)(ii) which advises full and open competition need not be provided for when it is necessary to award the contract to a particular source or sources in order to establish or maintain an essential engineering, research, or development capability to be provided by an educational or other nonprofit institution or federally funded research and development center. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Should be emailed to the Contract Specialist, Dehlia L.
