Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order with one source, Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc. The procurement is for on-site, full-service maintenance and repair to ensure NGC systems are kept in proper operation condition, have the latest compatible software operational and are ready to use. This includes unlimited repair inclusive of travel, parts and labor and one preventative maintenance visit. Work will be performed onsite at the following location: Boise Medical Center VA Medical Center 500 West Fort Street  Boise, ID 83702 Equipment list: DESCRIPTION Part Number Boise VA Medical Center NGC System, 1-year full on-site complete support plan to include unlimited repair and one preventative maintenance visit. CSP10036 The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc. is the manufacturer of NGC Quest 10, Chromatography systems for the Federal Government and have not authorized any other party to maintain or repair these instruments. This procurement will be made under the authority of Title 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) as implemented under FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 the Contracting Officers determination whether to make a sole source award is a business decision wholly within the discretion of the Contracting Officer. This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received will only be considered for the purposes of determining the marketplace for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted.
