Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Micron to provide product delivery and professional services to inject a proprietary polyurethane grout into the roof and rib of an underground mine research facility. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Office of Mining Safety and Health Research (OMSHR) conducts research at an underground facility that it has maintained for years. The facility is used to test new products and research methods proposed by internal and external stakeholders.� Over the years, water has infiltrated from natural springs and other sources causing damage to equipment and supplies used for mission critical research there. This order is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1).� Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals via email.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received by 11:00 AM EST 5 July 2022 will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any response should be emailed to the contracting officer,� Abbie Jemmott at ygf3@cdc.gov no later than 11:00 AM EST 5 July 2022.
