This is a Sources Sought Notice, and is for informational/market research purposes only. Please note: This is not a request for proposals, quotations or bids. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. No solicitation is currently available. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this market survey nor return the data provided. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a solicitation. The applicable NAICS code for this RFI is 339112. Responses to this RFI should address the following: Describe the product's technical capability? Describe the company's capabilities and identify the technology/system s technology readiness level?  What is the maturity of the instrument being recommended?  Is it early development, late development?  Is it in production?  Has it been fielded to any of the other Government agencies (please identify them)?  Is the instrument or system in use within the private sector?  What is the lead time for the product?  What is the company s production capabilities/limitations?  What computer system features?   How long will the product be available for purchase? All firms responding to this Sources Sought Notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. All sources that are able to provide technologies meeting criteria in this announcement should submit their interest to ATTN: William.prenzler@va.gov All information received in response to this notice that is marked proprietary will be handled accordingly. Acknowledgement of receipt of responses will not be made, nor will respondents be notified of the government's view of the information received. Responses to this notice will not be returned. The response to the RFI shall be limited to fifteen (15) pages (8.5"" x 11"") of English text, excluding test results and reports. It shall be single-spaced, 12 pitch with 1 inch left, right, top and bottom margins. Ralph Johnson VA Medical Center (Charleston SC) is in need of the following: A Zeiss OS/CIRRUS HD-OCT (Model 5000) with AngioPlex OCT Angiography Version 11. Includes GCGPA, Smart HD Scans, Fast trac, Adv RPE, GCA, Ant Seg Basic. 3 each - TECH-UPG **This amount will be added to the TRADE-IN VALUE for the OCT Model 5000** TO BE USED IN COMBINATION WITH THE TRADE-IN OFFERED THROUGH THE ZEISS ""PROTECTION PROGRAM,"" THIS TECHNOLOGY UPGRADE WILL ENSURE CUSTOMER HAS PRIORITY STATUS TO THE NEXT GENERATION ZEISS OCT UPON ITS RELEASE. 3 each - CIRRUS HD OCT (MODEL 5000) WITH ANGIOPLEX OCT ANGIOGRAPHY CURRENT VERSION (INCLUDES SMART HD SCANS, FASTTRAC, ADVANCED RPE, GCA, ANTERIOR SEGMENT BASIC, PRINTER & TABLE) (DOES NOT INCLUDE ANTERIOR SEGMENT PREMIER) 1 each Trade in of Cirrus 5000 S/N TBD. The Zeiss OCT product performs a tomography scan on vital structures in the visual pathway and give the provider information regarding the health and viability of the structures it scans.  This instrument has proprietary reports and scans that have been vetted, studied, and accepted as the standard of care for ophthalmology.  This company is the only one that offers this instrument and has the sole ability to license the proper scans and reports for the provider to use. SALIENT REQUIREMENT -CIRRUS HD-OCT Model 5000 Has the capability to have the ability to capture and provide OCT Angiography: This capability for OCT Angiography is provided by a 1 single OCT scan Has the ability to import and integrate raw data from the CIRRUS family of products. The raw data must be interchangeable between the CIRRUS units Must allow for the ability of FORUM Retina Workplace, Glaucoma Workplace to access all DICOM private and public tags. The unit must have exact Macular Scan Pattern of 512x128 for retina scan that is 6x6mm scan area. Scanning speeds: Scan at exactly 27,000 A-scans/sec, as well as the ability to scan at exactly 68,000 A-scans/sec The unit must be able to compare 8 tests in one glance under the GPA Glaucoma Progression Analysis in one view. (2 baseline, 6 subsequent visits. Unit must be able to provide a report for Ganglion Cell Analysis that is derived from a scan must be comprised of 6mmx6mm cube scan with a minimum by 200x200 line scan pattern Anterior Segment scan that is at minimal 15.5 mm in length x 5.8 mm in depth. which is the full view of the Anterior Chamber. Global Pachymetry report that is comprised of minimum of 24 radial scans and must be at a minimum 9mm in length.
