- The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineering Research and Development Center � Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory (ERDC-CHL) in Vicksburg, has a requirement for a High-Frequency Acoustic Instrument consisting of a suspended sediment profiler to be deployed in a laboratory flume to study fluid mud generation at the interface of water and gelled layer. ERDC-CHL intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to Aquatec House, Stroudley Rd, Basingstoke RG24 8FW, United Kingdom, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Market research indicates that Aquatec House is the only source for this requirement because Aquatec House is the only supplier that can meet the technical specifications for this requirement and has the proprietary information known in relation to this specific requirement.� The high-frequency acoustic instrument required for studies in sediment transport requires specifications that allow measurements of lab sediment profiles, precision altimetry, dredge plumes and turbulence with the needed communication requirements and lessons learned by previous work. This capability is reasonably available from only this vendor and no other vendors can offer these capabilities due to the knowledge held by Aquatec Group. This is not a small business set aside.� This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement. Any interested party that believes they can fulfill this requirement should submit a capability statement to be reviewed. All submissions will be considered, however there is no guarantee that submissions in response to this notice will in any way alter the Government�s acquisition strategy. Any responses to this NOI to sole source must include the W912HZ22Q0006 in the subject line of the e-mail or the response will not be considered valid. Please provide responses to this notice no later than the Response time listed above in this notice, to: CHL-CT-QUOTES@usace.army.mil Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses to this notice will not be considered as a response to any solicitation, a request to be added to a prospective offers list, or to receive a copy of any solicitation.� A determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
