- This Request for White Papers is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. USSOCOM is interested in receiving submissions from all responsible sources within industry capable of closing a current capability gap for SOF peculiar headborne systems. The intent of this announcement is to accelerate the delivery of innovative capabilities to the SOF warfighter.� USSOCOM is interested in technological road maps to show industry�s ability to provide headborne systems described herein.� Proposed helmet solutions shall act as a platform for the integration of current and future advanced headborne technologies.�� Offerors shall provide technical roadmaps to highlight current technologies as well as potential future insertion of advanced technologies.� All proposed technologies should be defined by technology readiness level (TRL)/Manufacturing readiness level (MRL) and timelines shall be proposed for potential future technological insertions.� The weight (actual or projected) across the proposed sizing suite shall be provided for each proposed technology.� Proposed roadmaps shall cover the current time frame through the next 7 years. Interested vendors will contact the listed POCs and sent their SAM unique Identifier via e-mail to receive details on the capability gap we are trying to fill and the testing methodology Ideally, submissions should be at TRL 6 or better but SOCOM will accept papers for devices at TRL 4 White Paper Submissions Due. vendors may submit a white paper for consideration (See attached for format). The SSES team will review responses to determine the best acquisition process. Please be as brief as possible and refrain from addiding large, graphics as they will be stripped from our e-mail server.�� All proprietary information contained in the submission shall be appropriately marked.� The Government will not use proprietary information submitted from any one firm to establish future capability and requirements.�� 06/06/22 - removed the requirement for the White Paper length and Attached Assessment White Paper Template v2
