Description

Contract FA3016-20-P-0089 was awarded on 8 April 2020 to Linked Equipment LLC for $364,881.20 to provide ten (10) Containerized Housing Units (CHUs) for the Special Warfare Training Wing (SWTW) located at JBSA-Camp Bullis, TX. The initial specifications for the requirement was to place the CHUs on the existing ground with the current gravel elevation in accordance with (IAW) the Statement of Objective (SOO) dated 6 April 2020. �A warranty calls were issued on 9 September 2020, 3 August 2021 and 2 March 2021 to address the mold issues. �Linked Equipment LLC already corrected the reoccurring mold issues. On 5 April 2021 a meeting was held with all parties and Linked Equipment LLC declared the damage is beyond normal warranty repair. �This determination by the contracting officer that any further work would be out of scope. Linked Equipment LLC proposed a possible solution by performing a demolition of the floor and replacing the effected materials with new materials, but due to the CHUs non-elevated position, they advised the mold issue would reoccur. �Due to the time constraints and the urgent and compelling nature of the health and safety of the SWTW CHU occupants, the incumbent contractor, Linked Equipment LLC, will be the most advantageous source for award IAW FAR 6.302-2(b)(1) it would be most advantageous for the Government to award to the incumbent contractor.�
