Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a sole source contract to Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD), 1151 East Hermans Road, Tucson, Arizona 85734, for a seven-year follow-on facility co-location and facility support contract.� The scope of the contract will include facilities and facility services in support of PEO IWS programs for the U.S. Navy, Foreign Military Sale (FMS) customers, and Other Government Agencies (OGA). Raytheon is the sole manufacturer of the STANDARD Missile and the only company with the requisite expertise, knowledge, experience and facilities necessary to meet requirements for the STANDARD Missile program. The decision to geographically collocate with RMD (prime contractor) was made in 1999 to better coordinate major programmatic activities for STANDARD Missile. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Raytheon Company directly.� The proposed contract is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302.� Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.� This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all proposals received within forty-five days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
