Description

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE Order under FAR SubPart 13.1, Procedure, 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source. Circumstances of the contract action deem that only one source is reasonably available due to the urgent nature requirement to include (1) mission requirements related to �return to office� mandates resulting from the lifting of the COVID-19 evacuation order (2) proximity to site, (3) familiarity with IRS site operations and (4) and existing security credentials. The government intends to place an open market sole source order to Progressive Technologies, INC Systems for purchase and installation of network equipment to support Phase 4 of the ACS SBSE Standup Project for MEM020 Campus. Network equipment consist of purchase, installation and configuration of two (2) enterprise level switches (and related equipment to support the expansion of 125 new cubicles to comply with new mandated sizing standards with a performance period of 06/15/2022 through 8/31/2022. Progressive Technologies resides in the local area and possesses a unique familiarly with the IRS site and project requirements/scope based on participation in earlier phases of the project. The recent decision to lift the COVID evacuation order and return employees to their offices created an urgent need to expedite the project start/completion timeframes to support the initiative. Responses to this notice will be evaluated by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability and respond to the requirement no later than 6:00 PM EST, June 10, 2022. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
