Description
Questions and Answers Who will remove all utilities, security, sprinkler, standpipe, etc. from exterior walls prior to sheet metal demo? Ans: The VA will remove the utilities, security, sprinkler and standpipe. Is the height of the retaining wall to be 18 all the way to the end of the existing concrete wall as discussed in the site visit? Ans: Yes, 18 height and 8 wide all down to the walkway entrance. Please specify the portions of sheet metal that are to be replaced. Sheet metal to be replace is from where the brick ends on the wall outside the doorway entrance to the turn where the garage starts. Does the VA require the installation of an ADA ramp with a warning board at the end of the concrete run? Ans: Yes, it does to the parking lot. Is the contractor required to remove the wheel stop in front of the new ramp? Ans: yes, the contractor will be required to remove the wheel stop in front of the new ramp. Is the tree to near the end of the concrete run to be removed and include stump grinding? Ans: Yes, the tree is to be removed and including stump grinding. What is the concrete thickness requirement for the flume? Ans: 4 thick for the flume. What is the concrete thickness requirement for the retaining wall? Ans: 8 thick for the retaining wall Is rebar or fiber mesh required in the flume? Ans: Rebar is required for the flume set at 24 OC.
