Description

Notice of Intent to Award an 8(a) Sole Source Procurement to Uphill Construction, LLC. This is a notice of intent of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District, Contracting Branch to negotiate a sole source award with Uphill Construction, LLC., 121 West Market Street, Greenwood, MS 38930. This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures, because a statute exists that expressly authorizes or requires that this acquisition be made from a specific source or through another agency; specifically, FAR 6.302-5(b)(4) for sole source awards under the 8(a) program 15 U.S.C.637(a) and in accordance with 13 CFR 124.1-1(c) and FAR 19.8.� This project consists of furnishing all plant, labor, and materials and any incidental related work, according to the plans and specifications for repairing a long shallow slide located along the landside levee slope of the Little River Headwater Diversion Levee. The length of the shallow slide is approximately 4000ft and is located approximately between levee baseline stations 11/12+00 and 12/6+00. The project will utilize two borrow site locations which are located along the waterside batture area.� The intended period of performance is 278 days from time of notice to proceed. The proposed action will result in a firm-fixed price contract. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction), with a Small Business size standard of $39.5M. The estimated value of this project is between $1M and $5M. This Notice of Intent is posted for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested firms must identify their interest and provide documentation demonstrating their capability (include detailed technical information and other technical literature) demonstrating ability to meet the above requirements, by emailing Uphill Construction, LLC point of contact Evangularnette Richards at uphillconstruction@gmail.com. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice.�
