- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) intends to award a sole source fixed price purchase order to Itasca Consulting Group, Inc. This requirement will provide ITASCA software that is used by members of the Geotechnical, Geology, and Materials Community of Practice (GG&M CoP) to model complex groundwater, foundation, slope, and wall design problems in support of critical Civil Works, Navigation, and Military Construction (MilCON) missions. The software is required by the GG&M CoP when modeling dam response to earthquake events, particularly when the potential for seismic softening (liquefaction) and large displacements are possible. Purchase includes immediate access to updates and bug fixes; full licensing and installation product support; basic engineering support; for the release purchased. No competition is being sought. The Period of Performance (PoP) for this supply buy is 12-month base period of coverage. This is a special notice prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. A solicitation will not be posted. However, any firm that believes it can meet this requirement may give written notification to the Contracting Office within 15 days of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
