- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with (IAW) the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government reserves the right to make no award from this solicitation. This is a request for quote (RFQ), and the solicitation number is 36C25022Q0663. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price Purchase Order resulting from this solicitation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circulars 2022-06, effective 05/01/2022. The associated NAICS Code is 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10, is soliciting quotes from all sources to supply the Cleveland VA Medical Center Trimano Fortis Support Arms and Adapters or Equal to expand their Surgical Services to the Outpatient Surgery Center (OSC). This requirement is being requested as a Brand Name or Equal requirement. Respondents to this solicitation must fully demonstrate their capability by supplying detailed quote information, along with any other documents necessary to support the requirements below. Quotes are to be provided to Gina P. Crank, Contracting Officer, via email at gina.crank@va.gov, no later than May 31, 2022, by 5:00 PM EST. No telephone calls will be accepted. No submission received after the above-mentioned date and time will be accepted. Statement of Work (SOW): The VA Medical Center (VAMC), Cleveland OH has a requirement for Trimano Fortis Support Arms and Adapters or Equal to expand their Surgical Services to the Outpatient Surgery Center (OSC). DELIVERIES: Deliveries shall be made to: Cleveland Louis Stoke VAMC Wade Park Campus Surgical Services 10701 East Blvd Cleveland, OH, 44106 1. Contract Title. Trimano Fortis Support Arms and Adapters or Equal 2. Background. Due to increased volume of patients that need surgeries, Cleveland Operating Room Surgical Services is looking to expand its surgical services to the Outpatient Surgery Center (OSC). In order to accommodate these special surgeries especially for the Orthopedic services, the OSC is need of 2 Trimano Fortis Support Arms and Adapters or Equal. The space in these rooms are very limited, in order to optimize the workflow, the medical center is looking to purchase systems that will give the surgical team unrestricted access to all surgical field. Also, the system should be easy to use, easy to move around, lightweight, easy to be attached to any OR table rail and ready for use. The number of procedures will increase as the surgeons become familiar with the new environment, surgical services is requesting to purchase a system that would be available to accommodate Shoulder and Elbow, Wrist, Knee and possibly open and general surgeries. Utilizing the system will require training for the technicians that will use it. Our medical center here at the OR has several of these systems and it would be beneficial to purchase the same, so we do not have to train the technicians on other types of patient positioning systems. Working without restrictions means going wherever you need to go to get the job done. Trimano Fortis offers all these capabilities that our staff is very familiar with. 3. Scope. OSC OR rooms are smaller than the ones here at the main campus, therefore, space is a big factor to consider. Due to these restriction, it is the benefit of all to purchase a system that would offer many capabilities not only for one specialty but for several ones. 5. Security Requirements There are no areas of vulnerabilities or patient identifiable information affected by this project. 6. Place of Performance. These systems will be strictly used at the OSC and will be ready for use upon installation. 7. Period of Performance. These systems will remain at the OSC for the foreseeable future.
